North Wales golf breaks at The Rosedene, Llandudno
Golf Accommodation · North Wales

Golf breaks in
North Wales.

Five courses within fifteen minutes, from championship links to parkland — and one quiet base in the heart of Llandudno to come back to, with dinner a short walk away.

A North Wales golf break,
from one comfortable base.

The North Wales coast holds one of the finest concentrations of golf in Britain, and Llandudno sits in the middle of it. Within fifteen minutes of our door you have championship links, parkland courses and dramatic coastal layouts — North Wales Golf Club, Maesdu, Conwy, Rhos-on-Sea and Abergele — each with its own character, all set against Eryri and the Irish Sea.

That is the case for staying here rather than beside a single course. Play the links in the morning with the Conwy estuary at your shoulder, drive ten minutes for a completely different round in the afternoon, and still be back for dinner in town. One base, a week of golf, and no two days the same.

We are not a golf resort and we do not sell packages — we are a quiet ten-room guest house that happens to be extremely well placed for a North Wales golf break, with a proper bed, secure storage for your clubs, and the whole town a short walk away.

Golf Weekend Llandudno

A perfect
golf break.

A stay built around great golf, good food, and the sort of weekend that leaves you already planning the next one. Three nights is the sweet spot — nobody plays two rounds in a day.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival & Warm Up

Arrive, check in, and get your bearings. If you want to ease in, a relaxed nine at Great Orme Pitch & Putt is a scenic way to start — short, local, and a good way to settle into the weekend. Then head into town for dinner.

  2. Day 2

    The Links Experience

Time for one of North Wales' finest links courses. A proper day's golf, with the coast, the turf, and the challenge that makes a golf break feel properly worth the journey.

  3. Day 3

    Parkland & Coastal Variety

A morning round at Maesdu brings a different rhythm altogether — elevated views, a warm welcome, and a course that offers a fresh challenge from the links. Or, if you want another option, Rhos or Abergele give you wide fairways, raised tees, and a completely different feel.

  4. Day 4

    One Final Round

A final morning round at a course with a fresh feel — the perfect ending to a weekend built around good golf and good company. Drive home with the next trip already planned.

Golf Break FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The Rosedene good for a golf break in North Wales?

Yes. We're a quiet boutique guest house in central Llandudno, well placed for North Wales Golf Club, Maesdu, Conwy and Rhos-on-Sea, with the Great Orme Pitch & Putt a short walk away.

Which golf courses are closest to The Rosedene?

Great Orme Pitch & Putt at 0.3 miles, North Wales Golf Club at 0.7 miles and Maesdu at 0.9 miles — both under five minutes by car. Conwy is 2.4 miles (around ten minutes) and Rhos-on-Sea approximately 3.2 miles.

How far is North Wales Golf Club from The Rosedene?

Approximately 0.7 miles — a short drive, or a brisk walk in well under twenty minutes.

How far is Maesdu Golf Club?

Approximately 0.9 miles, the closest full 18-hole championship course. Under five minutes by car.

Is Conwy Golf Club close enough for a weekend stay?

Comfortably. Conwy is around 2.4 miles — roughly ten minutes along the A55. An Open Qualifying venue and one of the finest courses in Wales.

Can couples and small groups stay for a golf weekend?

Yes. Ten rooms of different sizes suits couples, solo golfers and small groups looking for a comfortable base.

Is this a stay-and-play package hotel?

No — we're a boutique guest house rather than a stay-and-play operator, so we don't bundle tee times. What we offer is a superb base in the right location, often for considerably less than the larger hotels. Tee times are booked directly with the clubs.

Where can we eat after a round?

The town centre is an easy walk and has a good range of restaurants, bars and cafes. We're happy to point you at the right one on arrival.
