An AA two-rosette kitchen on Gloddaeth Street serving modern British small plates and sharing boards — fine-dining finesse without the fuss, right in the town centre.

Tucked into Gloddaeth Street in the heart of Llandudno, Next Door has quickly become one of the town’s most talked-about restaurants — a kitchen that holds an AA Two Rosette award and delivers the quality and finesse of fine dining without a scrap of the fuss or formality.

The format is a modern one: small plates, larger main plates and sharing boards, built to be explored across the table, with a real focus on North Wales produce — from sea and field to the table. The kitchen bakes its bread and biscuits fresh in-house every day and makes its sauces from scratch, while the drinks list champions local craft brewers, distillers, roasters and independent winemakers.

The room itself is bright, fresh and easy to be in — the sort of place that works just as well for an unhurried dinner as it does for a proper celebration, and the warmth of the welcome is a big part of why guests keep going back.

Dinner is served Wednesday to Saturday, with lighter lunches through the week and a popular Sunday lunch. Right in the centre of town, it is only a few minutes’ stroll from The Rosedene — booking ahead is well worth it, especially at weekends.
