Ormo Lounge opened on Gloddaeth Street in May 2023 in a beautifully restored art deco former M&Co building, and quickly established itself as one of Llandudno's most popular all-day venues. It is part of the Loungers chain but feels genuinely local in character — named after the Great Orme, decorated with eclectic furnishings and multiple rooms with huge windows overlooking the main street, and staffed by a team that takes genuine pride in the experience.
The breakfast and brunch offering is one of the strongest in the town — the Lounge Breakfast in particular has attracted near-evangelical reviews, with one visitor describing it as the best breakfast in the UK and admitting to travelling from Manchester specifically to eat it. The menu runs from 9am to 10pm daily, meaning you can order breakfast at any hour, and covers all-day options from full breakfasts and shakshuka to pancakes, tapas, burgers and desserts. The coffee is all handmade by trained baristas.
The venue has a dedicated vegan menu alongside the main menu, extensive gluten-free options, and is particularly praised for catering well to coeliac guests. Board games are available, there are toys for children and treats for dogs — it genuinely earns the 'home away from home' description on its own website.
