Artisan bread making Discover the art of artisan bread making in our hands-on course, where you’ll learn the skills and techniques needed to create delicious, beautifully crafted breads from scratch. From mixing and kneading to shaping, proving and baking, you’ll gain confidence working with dough and explore the secrets behind achieving a perfect crust and soft, flavoursome crumb. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to develop your baking skills, this course is a fun and rewarding introduction to the world of artisan bread. Sample dishes: Focaccia, ciabatta, white loaf Your day begins at 9.45am in the Furnace Café, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and have the chance to meet your fellow delegates and your chef. Your chef will introduce you to the class menu and talk you through how the day will run before you’re shown to your own workspace in our fully equipped Cookery School kitchen. With step-by-step tuition throughout, your chef will be on hand to guide and assist you, making the experience fun, relaxed and easy to follow - whether you’re a confident cook or a complete beginner. All ingredients, aprons and drinks are provided throughout the class, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a container for taking your delicious creations home. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with new cooking skills, recipe notes and the dishes you’ve prepared yourself to enjoy at home. This is a full day course, running from 9.45am until 4.00pm.
